Contract Packaging Support for a National Deodorant Brand's Product Transition

Helping Curie Bring Updated Products to Retail

When Curie introduced updates to its deodorant product line, the company needed a contract packaging partner capable of efficiently preparing existing inventory for retail distribution. With multiple product variations requiring updated labeling, repackaging, and multipack assembly, Curie partnered with International Packaging Inc. (IPI) to execute the transition quickly and accurately.

The Challenge

Consumer packaged goods brands frequently face the challenge of updating products already in inventory when formulas, packaging information, regulatory requirements, or retail specifications change. Curie needed a solution that would allow existing deodorant inventory to be modified and prepared for distribution without disrupting retail supply channels.

The project involved five product variations that required careful handling, updated labeling, and retail-ready packaging configurations. Accuracy was critical to ensure each SKU was packaged correctly and met retailer requirements.

The IPI Solution

IPI Distribution space in Minnesota

IPI provided a turnkey contract packaging and repackaging solution designed to support the product transition.

The team received deodorant stick inventory, removed existing packaging as required, applied updated labels in designated areas, organized products by version, and assembled retail-ready three-pack configurations. Finished packs were shrink wrapped and carton packed according to SKU specifications to streamline downstream fulfillment and distribution.

By managing the project in-house, IPI helped ensure consistency across all product variations while maintaining quality and production efficiency.

Zero-Touch Execution

The project was completed as a zero-touch packaging solution for the client. After receiving materials, IPI managed the labeling, repackaging, assembly, shrink wrapping, quality control, and shipment preparation processes.

Finished products were then sent directly to fulfillment warehouses and retail distribution channels, minimizing handling requirements and reducing operational burden on the client.

Results

Through contract packaging, labeling, repackaging, and shrink wrapping services, IPI helped Curie efficiently transition updated products into the marketplace while maintaining retail readiness across multiple SKUs. The project allowed the client to focus on product launch and brand growth while IPI managed the operational packaging requirements behind the scenes.

For consumer packaged goods companies navigating formula updates, packaging changes, retailer requirements, or product transitions, IPI provides scalable contract packaging solutions that help products move from production to retail shelves efficiently.
